Search the Library catalog to find books, books on cd, DVDs, magazines and other items to check out.  Items can be searched by title, author, subject or keyword.  If the item you are looking for is not available in South San Francisco, you can place a hold on the item for a small fee and the item will be delivered to the library of your choice.  Once the item has arrived at the library you chose, you will receive a notice and can drop by and pick it up.
