On May 16, 2008 we were lucky enough to spend the evening with more than 130 learners, tutors, and friends of Project Read to celebrate the successes of learners and tutors in our program.

The theme of the Celebration Dinner was "You Are an Essential Piece" because we believe that each member of our community is part of a whole.  When you put the pieces together we create a powerful force for change. Talks during the evening ranged from the power of poetry to stories of success from learners and tutors in our program.  Project Read staff is honored to be a part of the change that occurs when people accomplish their reading and writing goals, feel better about themselves and are able to speak up for what they believe to be true.
