U.S. Citizenship students will learn about American history, culture and laws; understand the power of a citizen’s vote; meet elected officials and hear guest speakers; know how the Constitution protects our rights and affects our lives every day; become ready for the citizenship test and interview

Collaborating with:

  • The International Institute of San Mateo County –during the past 3 years to bring a team of experts to help fill out the N-400 Naturalization Form to become a U.S. Citizen
  • Attorney from the Immigrant Legal Resource Center (El Centro de Recursos Legales para el Inmigrante) presentation and consultation
  • Guest speakers have included the Mayor of South San Francisco, a representative from Congressman Tom Lantos and more.

Since fall 2006, 40 of those enrolled have achieved their U.S. citizenship.
